The ‘Mahabharat’ has a deep underlying symbolism. Imagine Drupadi as the human body. The Pandavas, the five senses, are wedded to it. Their first cousins, a hundred in number, the Kauravas, are present in the form of the tendencies of the mind.

Yudhishthir thinks that he is a good gambler and so would win over the Kauravas. The senses also think that they can win over the tendencies of the mind. The Pandavas keep gambling till they lose everything, including themselves and their beloved wife, Drupadi. Like wise we loose everything when we gamble with our tendencies, and like the Pandavas, end up in spiritual exile. The body is demeaned, like Drupadi was, and only divine intervention can save it. However our body does not abandon us, even when we lead it into exile.
Kurukshetra is the world in which we live this life, witnessing a war between our senses and our mind’s tendencies.

Dhritarastra symbolizes the mind, which gives birth, in a sense, to our tendencies। He was blind- as the mind is to its tendencies. His wife, Gandhari, was not blind but chose to blindfold herself. Even when we have a choice to see, we choose not to see.

Karna was born of the Sun-god and the Earth mother। He is a symbol of our ego. Like him, our ego is also armored। Only the guru’s intervention could get the armor removed. Similarly, the guru helps the seeker in killing his ego.

Krishna’s form too is symbolic। Deep blue is the color of eternity। It is the color of sky, and of deep blue sea। Yellow is the color of the earth. A deep blue god-image enclosed in yellow clothes symbolizes the spirit clothed in the body. Krishna, then, is a symbol of body and spirit, a symbol of you and me in our enlightenment form. When we become aware of our true self, we realize that there is no difference between us and Krishna, as, indeed are we.

I read two books in recent past, one is THE WORLD IS FLAT and another one is THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERARI.

THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERARI is about the inner world. This book reminds us inner strength and voice. Robin Sharma is an American of Indian origin who explains the Indian philosophy to world in a very simple way. It is unfortunate that we Indians ignore our philosophy. We see only west for any new thing. There are two terms modernization and westernization. People generally understand westernization as modernization. Modernization means progressive thinking, rational thinking, you must think unbiased, you must not prejudiced to anything before taking any decision. If I think something is perfect it may be from India, America or any place I must accept. Similarly if some thing is wrong we must reject it may be it from most advance country. For all this Person should be of courageous and have moral value. After reading this book I realize that America is super power not because of they have most talented person of the world, but due to there acceptance of every good thing of world and rejecting bad thing. In this book only Indian philosophy is explained in a simple story and even then this book is most successful book in USA, after that it comes in India and we are reading because it is most sold book in USA and not because it is about Indian culture. What a strange thing is it not?

THE WORLD IS FLAT is about the outer world. It is a business book which explains the changing world equation in last decade along with coming of information technology. Friedman is a journalist and works for New York Times. With coming of computer world changed a lot. Now all walls are going to be vanished slowly and the world is going to be flat. Many MNCs are now distributed in different parts of the world in search of lower production cost and with the help of internet all works are controlled from one place. When you purchase a mobile, its different parts may be manufactured from 10 different countries. So in this new world the smallest unit a man can collaborate with another man of the world same as a country or company can collaborate with their counter parts.
In both the books one thing is common.

Person have unbelievable strength you have to dig yourself, you have to push to the edge. (TMWSHF)
Company or Country have infinity options to improve their productivity, they have to collaborate and imagine beyond horizon.(TWIF)
So there are always infinity possibilities.

Today the most fascinating thing in the world is internet, everyone is finding anything available on Google. If you want to search anything on the earth you can depend on Google. Nowadays something which does not exits, even though someone searching it on Google (internet). In this complex world no one have time to think that something exists beyond this man made net.
Few days back I have gone to a religious journey. I want to feel the touch of superpower if it exists. The journey was around 120km long and everyone travel bare footed. The 120km long path is not so easy. I think this is the longest journey people travel with bare foot to offer scared water of river Ganga to any Temple in the world. People take water from Ganga near Sultanganj (Bhagalpur, Bihar, India) and travel to Deoghar (Jharkhand, India) and offer the scared water of Ganga to God Shiva.
First when I decided to go for this I was not sure I will complete this journey. First I want something and there is no other way to that, then I decided to try this. I want to judge can I bear this pain for something what I want or not. Second thing I want to feel supernatural power.
During the journey I feel I am least blessed physically so the journey is most painful, even children and old persons are travelling faster than me. First I think the God don’t want to see me but it was not. In the way I feel many times I was doing extraordinary, something which I was not able to do. When I reached the Temple I was so happy I just can’t describe. After prayer I went for queue it was around 10km long another longest in the world. There was a provision of shortcut to this queue officially Rs5000/ and unofficially (bribe) Rs500/. But I think the cost of frustration and pain which I felt in 10km long and 12hrs queue is much more than Rs5000/. When I entered the room where one of the Jyotirling of Shiva I was able to pour Ganga Jal, I was lucky not everyone was fortunate like me, because in that room people are moving like orange in mixer. That day will be memorable for me. I have done something impossible for me. I feel the existence of supernatural power.
Everything is not available on Google, for something you want, you have to go beyond your physical and mental limit. So I feel there is life beyond the dot com.
